Dr. Dan Bernardo named interim provost and vice president of research and Dr. Ron Mittelhammer named interim dean of CAHNRS.

The School of Economic Sciences is pleased to announce the awarding of the Distinguished Professorship in Agricultural and Resource Economics to Dr. C. Richard Shumway

Dr. Jia Yan promoted to the rank of  Associate Professor

Dr. Bidisha Mandal promoted to the rank of Associate Professor

Tom Marsh the new president-elect for the Western Agricultural Economics Association.

Adjunct visiting professor Dustin Pendell was also elected as a director for the Western Agricultural Economics Association.

H. Alan Love, Director, invites you to visit the School of Economic Sciences.

The School of Economic Sciences offers a highly rated Ph.D. program in Economics and Agricultural Economics, an M.S. degree in Applied Economics, and an undergraduate program leading to a B.S. degree that open doors to a wide variety of career paths.  The School has over 85 graduate students and over 275 undergraduates.

The School is dedicated to high-quality teaching, research, outreach and engagement.  Students are taught by more than 25 full-time faculty members from many economic disciplines.  The faculty and students are actively engaged in cutting-edge research.  There is a strong tradition of excellence in applied econometric modeling.  Recent publications include journal articles in Econometrica, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Law & Economics, Journal of Environmental Economics & Management, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, and International Economic Review.
